May 21 - Creative Business Mastery

I just found out that my interview on the Creative Business Mastery Tele-summit - will be on the third day. That's May 21st. I'll be the first "Master" of the day. I still get such a kick out of it! Me - a Master! I hope we all still feel that way after the event... I'm sure you'll let me know what you thought of the interview. (Please?)

If you missed the first post about the tele-summit, you can read it HERE.
And if you haven't had a chance to sign up yet - it's free - so go ahead - click HERE or on the image above. There are really interesting women speaking on Money, Marketing and Mindset. All good stuff.

And feel free to share it with more of your friends!

·       Three breakfasts, three lunches, morning and afternoon breaks and two dinners.
·       All materials used in the classes and additional give-aways from a number of our favourite companies and a special CanTangle canvas bag to carry it all!

What will I learn?
Classes are currently being planned to spark your creative juices and provide you with great teaching tips for your own Zentangle® teaching practice and personal work. Here are a few hints of what to expect!
·       Journey with Laura Harms to explore the elegance of limits and the Challenges that arise from them.
·       Put on your walking shoes… (imaginary) and get your pen ready to holiday in Margaret Bremner’s beautifully inspired neighbourhood.
·       Sightsee in Sandra Steen Bartholomew’s lovely imagination and discover moonlight and darkness in a truly zenspired way!
·       Travel between the lines with Lisa Heron and design the pages of your own adventure.
·       Realize the power of utilizing Zentangle as a part of a meditative practice.

Will there be any give-aways?
You Bet!

August 9, 2012 • Midwest Art & Lettering Retreat

AUGUST 9 - 12, 2012
CARLETON COLLEGE in NORTHFIELD, MN

THE MIDWEST ART & LETTERING RETREAT was conceived with the intention of bringing a time-extended, focused workshop to the Midwest area of the US.  The small size of the retreat ensures that you will have personal attention from your instructors.  The quiet atmosphere of the retreat will be focused on the process of finding your own voice and expressing yourself in your personal artistic style.

FIVE PRESTIGIOUS INSTRUCTORS will be guiding you on your journey to that “new, great, and wonderful place:” Roz Stendahl (Color Theory), Georgia Deaver (Stylized Writing), Carrie Imai (Foundational), Cherryl Moote (Bookmaking), and Sandy Steen Bartholomew (Zentangle).

ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED in the arts are invited to participate in this retreat. The classes in bookmaking, in color theory, and in Zentangle are open to anyone who has an interest in studying those topics. You do NOT have to be a calligrapher to join any of these three classes. You also do NOT have to be a member of the Colleagues of Calligraphy organization. The cost of the retreat is the same for all. Each class runs for the full four days. When registering please give us your first, second and third choice. Class placement will be based on the date your registration is received. Class size is limited to 13 students per class. So, register early to be assured you will attend the class you prefer!

March 2, 2012 • UNTangle Creativity Retreat

UNTangle Retreat March 2-4, 2012
Spend a relaxing weekend tangling in Ogunquit with Sandy Bartholomew, the author and illustrator of five Zentangle® books. Bring your own creations to show off and provide inspiration to others. If you have never tangled before, no worries - Sandy will get you addicted in no time. Some of the areas which will be covered will include shading, deconstructing tangles, using transfers, simple printmaking and tangling on fabric.
